Parallel rulerIt is a ruler shaped gauge with a flat surface (see figure). A straightedge is used to inspect the flatness of flat plates, long guide rails, etc. using coloring and indicator methods, and is also commonly used to inspect the straightness of workpiece edges using the light gap method. Flat rulers are generally made of cast iron, and rectangular rulers can also be made of bearing steel or granite.
Parallel ruler: manufactured according to JB/T7977-99 standard, material HT250, working surface adopts scraping or precision grinding technology, used for checking unevenness and straightness in machine tool inspection. The two working surfaces are matched with block gauges, micrometers, level gauges and other instruments for inspection. At different heights, the parallelism of the two guide rails and the levelness without connecting the guide rails can be checked with a square ruler. It is a measuring tool for checking the verticality of two parts that cannot be checked with a square ruler alone. It is also suitable for equipment installation and inspection.
